Transaction & Fee Refund Policy

United Securities Limited · Effective Date: June 15, 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy governs service fee refunds processed via the digital payment gateways of United Securities Limited. As a regulated brokerage firm under the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), we enforce these terms to ensure transactional transparency.

1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies exclusively to standard institutional service fees and digital processing charges billed directly by United Securities Limited. It does not cover trading capital balances, market losses, or third-party regulatory charges.

2. Eligibility for Refund

Clients may claim a refund strictly under the following verified technical anomalies:

  • Duplicate Payment: The same service fee (e.g., BO account setup or annual maintenance fee) was deducted more than once within a single transactional window.
  • Overpayment: An automated digital transaction exceeded the official rate outlined in our Schedule of Charges.
  • Incorrect Ledger Debit: An account was charged for a premium feature or service that was neither requested nor initiated by the client.
  • Systemic Service Failure: Payment was successfully processed but the service failed to materialize due to operational or technological downtime on our part.

3. Absolute Exclusions

Refunds will not be granted for the following items under any circumstance:

  • Market Losses: Portfolio equity variances or trading deficits resulting from price fluctuations on the exchange floor.
  • Brokerage Commission: Transaction execution costs are considered fully earned at the moment a trade is executed and cannot be reversed.
  • Statutory Levies and Taxes: Taxes, source deductions, and regulatory fees passed on to the BSEC, DSE, or National Board of Revenue (NBR) are non-recoverable.
  • Trading Capital Withdrawals: Available cash or unencumbered funds in a trading ledger do not constitute a “refund.” They must be claimed via our standard Fund Withdrawal Protocol.

4. Claim and Resolution Procedure

To dispute a transaction, clients must submit an explicit written request via verified channels:

  • Submission Channel: Contact your Relationship Manager or mail a written notice directly to your assigned branch.
  • Mandatory Information: The request must include your full Name, 16-digit BO ID number, transaction parameters (date, amount, payment gateway used), and clear digital payment receipts.
  • Auditing Timeline: The Compliance Desk will audit system logs within ten (10) consecutive business days. Adjudication notices will be delivered directly to your registered email address.

5. Financial Disbursement

Approved refunds will be processed within seven (7) to ten (10) operational business days via one of two methods:

  • Trading Ledger Credit: The sum will be transferred directly into the client’s internal trading ledger with United Securities Limited.
  • Bank Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT): The capital will be routed to the bank account officially linked to the client’s verified BO profile.

6. Policy Amendments

United Securities Limited assumes no liability for gateway dropouts or national clearing grid errors beyond our immediate sphere of control. The management reserves the right to modify this framework at any time, with updates becoming binding immediately upon website publication.
